## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ HAD BOTH ALTERNATORS FAIL ABOUT 40 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTING SAN BERNARDINO ENROUTE TO NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES HAS NOT BEEN DETERMINED. ON APPROACH TO VGT, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ TRIED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR BUT COULD NOT. HE THEN TRIED MANUALLY TO CRANK THE LANDING GEAR DOWN BUT IT ALSO FAILED. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ HAD NO OTHER CHOICE THAN TO LAND GEAR UP AT VGT RUNWAY 25.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
