## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 4, 2005, STUDENT PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMI^ LANDED PIPER PA-28-180, N15911 ON RUNWAY 34 AT PALWAUKEE AIRPORT, WHEELING, ILLINOIS. THE PILOT SAID THAT THE MAIN WHEELS TOUCHED THE RUNWAY, FOLLOWED BY THE NOSE WHEEL. HE REPORTED THAT UPON NOSE WHEEL CONTACT THE AIRPLANE VEERED SHARPLY LEFT AND DEPARTED THE RUNWAY. THE WIND WAS 290 DEGREES AT 9 KNOTS. THE PILOT WAS THE ONLY OCCUPANT AND WAS NOT INJURED. THE AIRPLANE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE: A PROPELLER STRIKE AND BENT NOSE WHEEL STRUT. INSPECTION DISCLOSED NO MECHANICAL FAILURE THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
