## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE SUBJECT AIRCRAFT DEPARTED MUSKEGON AIRPORT ON 12/08/05 AT 07:00 AM AND ENROUTE TO CINCINNATI. THE PILOT NOTICED THE FLAME FROM THE RIGHT ENGINE AT 9000 FEET AGL AT CRUISE. HE DECLARED EMERGENCY, SHUT THE RIGHT ENGINE AND LANDED AT TULIP CITY AIRPORT (BIV) HOLLAND, MI WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE ARE TWO PASSENGERS ON THE AIRCRAFT BESIDES THE PILOT. THE AIRCRAFT RIGHT ENGINE DAMAGE IS MINOR AND NO ONE ON THE AIRCRAFT INCLUDING THE PILOT RECEIVED INJURY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
