## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO THE STUDENT PILOT AND WITNESS STATEMENTS SHE MADE AN APPROACH TO RUNWAY 32 AT BFM. SHE FLARED TOO SOON CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO BAL LOON AND SINK DOWN TO THE GROUND AND HAD A HARD NOSE GEAR LANDING WHICH RESULTED IN A PROP STRIKE AND BENT FIREWALL, AND CAUSED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE BELLY SKIN OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE STALL WARNING WENT OFF MOMENTARILY AND SHE EASED THE ELEVATOR SLIGHTLY FORWARD AND THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AGAIN. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITH MORE WEIGHT ON THE RIGHT WHEEL THAN THE LEFT. AT THAT POINT SHE NOTICED ROUGHNESS IN THE CONTROLS. SHE THEN TAXIED AND PARKED THE AIRCRAFT AT THE DOWN AIR CENTER (BFM). INITIAL INVESTIGATION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED MAJOR DAMAGE TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
