## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2005 AT APPROXIMATELY 1410 CST, N9649Q, A CE-172, WAS FLYING LOW OVER A RURAL FARMING AREA APPROXIMATELY 4 MILES NORTH OF COMSTOCK, TX. N9649Q STRUCK A WIRE CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING AND RIGHT STRUT WITH WIRE STRIKE MARKS ON THE WINDSHIELD AND ON THE LOWER PORTION OF THE RUDDER. ALSO, THE ADF ANTENNA WAS BROKEN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
