## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OR ABOUT 12/15/2005 AT 1430 PST, FOLLOWING A POST MAINTENANCE ENGINE RUN, THE OPERATOR WAS TAXIING THE AIRCRAFT, AN AMATEUR BUILT LANCAIR 360, TO ITS HANGAR. THE OPERATOR REPORTED THAT HE TAXIED OVER A DRAINAGE DEPRESSION IN THE TAXIWAY CAUSING THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT TO DROOP AND CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE GROUND TWO TIMES. THE OPERATOR IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE, AND INSPECTED THE PROPELLER. THE OPERATOR FOUND THAT ALL PROPELLER BLADES HAD EVIDENCE OF SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE TIPS. THE OPERATOR IS ARRANGING TO HAVE A POST SUDDEN ENGINE STOPPAGE INSPECTION PERFORMED ON THE ENGINE. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT IS REPORTED. THE OPERATOR WILL INFORM THIS OFFICE OF THE RESULTS OF THE INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
