## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT ENROUTE FROM GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO, TO JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI. WHEN PILOT ATTEMPTED TO REDUCE POWER, THE THROTTLE WOULD NOT CONTROL THE ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AND THE PILOT SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE. A "DEAD STICK" LANDING WAS MADE AT THE COLUMBIA AIRPORT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. UPON EXAMINATION, MAINTENANCE FOUND THAT THE THROTTLE LINKAGE HAD FAILED. THE LINKAGE WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE FOLLOWING DAY. NOTE: THE AIRCRAFT HAD BEEN CONVERTED FROM A PISTON ENGINE TO A TURBINE ENGINE (PT6A-34) BY JETPROP, LLC, SPOKANE, WA. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
