## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE AT CRUISE, FLYING TO SEDONA, AZ, THE PILOT NOTICED THE CONSTANT SPEED PROPELLER GO TO LOW PITCH. HE THEN OBSERVED HIS OIL PRESSURE DROP TO 3 PSI, AT WHICH TIME HE SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE AND ACCOMPLISHED AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON HIGHWAY 89 OUTSIDE OF SEDONA. HE FOUND THE OIL SUPPLY LINE TO THE PROPELLER GOVERNOR LEAKING AT THE FLARE. HE TEMPORARILY REPAIRED THE FLARE, FILLED THE ENGINE WITH OIL, PERFORMED A LEAK CHECK AND FLEW THE AIRCRAFT HOME TO DVT, WHERE HE HAS SINCE REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE LINE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS UNDAMAGED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
