## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ WAS LANDING AT DYERSBURG AIRPORT, DYERSBURG, TN. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ STATED THAT WHEN HE WAS JUST ABOVE THE RUNWAY, HE BUMPED THE GEAR HANDLE WITH HIS HAND AND CAUSED THE GEAR TO RETRACT. HE SAID HE WAS AFRAID THAT HE WAS TOO SLOW TO GO AROUND SO HE LANDED IN THE GRASS ON THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY, GEAR-UP. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ CALLED THE NTSB ON 12/30/2005 AND REPORTED THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
