## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT CRUISE FLIGHT THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE CONTROL STICK WAS BEGINNING TO CATCH ON SOMETHING AS IT WAS MOVED FOR NORMAL FLIGHT OPERATIONS. HE LOOKED FOR AN AIRPORT WITH THE INTENTION OF LANDING TO HAVE THE CONTROLS CHECKED. HE NOTICED BLAIRSTOWN AIRPORT AND MADE A TURN TOWARD THE AIRPORT. AT THAT MOMENT HE LOST ALL ELEVATOR CONTROL WITH THE STICK. HE MANAGED TO GET THE AIRCRAFT ON THE GROUND SAFELY AT THE AIRPORT AFTER A VERY HARD LANDING. THE MECHANIC ON THE FIELD INSPECTED THE AIRCRAFT AND SAW THAT THE ELEVATOR CONTROL BOLT HAD COME OUT OF THE ROD END LOCATION AND NO NUT WAS FOUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
