## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 26, 2005, A PIPER PA-24, REGISTRATION NUMBER N5617P LANDED AT LANTANA AIRPORT, FLORIDA RUNWAY 32 WITH THE LANDING GEAR NOT FULLY EXTENDED. THE PILOT REPORTS LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER AFTER LOWERING THE GEAR. THE PILOT STATES THAT AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE BELLY OF THE AIRCRAFT AND THE PROPELLER. FAA DATABASES SHOW THAT THE PILOT'S ^PRIVACY DATA^ PILOT CERTIFICATE WAS REVOKED ON APRIL 18, 2002 AND HIS LAST MEDICAL WAS AUGUST 24, 1983. A LETTER OF INVESTIGATION, DATED 01/19/2006 WAS SENT TO THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ REGARDING OPERATION OF AN AIRCRAFT WITHOUT A VALID PILOTS CERTIFICATE OR MEDICAL CERTIFICATE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
