## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 28, 2005, AT 1129 EDT, A BEECH 200 SUPER KING AIR, N42LJ, DEPARTED MADISON COUNTY (UYF) AIRPORT, OHIO. WHEN THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RAISE THE LANDING GEAR, HE RECEIVED A LIGHT IN THE GEAR HANDLE INDICATING THAT THE GEARS HAD NOT RAISED TO THE FULL UP POSITION. THE PILOT PLACED THE GEAR HANDLE DOWN AND RECEIVED THREE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATORS. LEAVING THE GEAR DOWN, THE AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED UNEVENTFULLY AT JAMES M COX DAYTON INTL (DAY) AIRPORT, OHIO AND TURNED OVER TO MAINTENANCE WHO DISCOVERED THAT THE LANDING GEAR MOTOR HAD FAILED AND HAD SHORTED OUT THE TERMINAL FILTER ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
