## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON DECEMBER 31, 2005, ABOUT 0800 PACIFIC STANDARD TIME, A BEECHCRAFT V35A N7944R, COLLIDED WITH TERRAIN FOLLOWING A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER NEAR VALLEY CENTER, CALIFORNIA. THE AIRPLANE WAS THE LAST OF FIVE AIRPLANES THAT WERE TRAVELING TO ANOTHER AIRPORT FOR AN OVERNIGHT TRIP. WITNESSES OBSERVED THE TAKEOFF, AND REPORTED THAT THEY HEARD A LOUD BANG AS THE AIRPLANE REACHED ABOUT 800 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST WITH THE TAIL IN AVOCADO TREE. THE PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS SUSTAINED FATAL INJURIES; THE AIRPLANE WAS DESTROYED.
