## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM RUNWAY 19 AT LINCOLN PARK AIRPORT (N07) AFTER PASSING THROUGH 800 FEET THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH AND DID NOT PRODUCE SUFFICIENT POWER. PILOT ANNOUNCED EMERGENCY AND ATTEMPTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 1. DUE TO THE ALTITUDE AND SPEED HE COULD NOT EXECUTE A SAFE LANDING AND ATTEMPTED A GO AROUND. THE ENGINE FAILED TO PRODUCE SUFFICIENT POWER TO GAIN ALTITUDE, AND IT WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH. THE PILOT SAW AN OPEN FIELD APPROXIMATELY 1200 FEET PAST THE END OF RUNWAY 1 AND DECIDED TO EXECUTE AN EMERGENCY LANDING. AFTER LANDING, THE PILOT TURNED LEFT TO AVOID HITTING A DUMPSTER. THE NOSE WHEEL HIT A CURB THAT WAS FABRICATED FROM A 4 1/2 INCHES IN DIAMETER PIPE. THE NOSE GEAR STRUT AND ENGINE MOUNT WAS DAMAGED. ONE BLADE OF THE TWO BLADED PROPELLER WAS DAMAGED. MINOR DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING TIP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
