## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON SATURDAY JANUARY 14, 2006 AT APPROXIMATELY 1400 CST, PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) WAS CONDUCTING INSTRUCTIONAL FLIGHT ON A PIPER PA-28R, REGISTRATION N4584J, WHEN HE FAILED TO EXTEND THE MAIN LANDING GEAR DOWN ON FINAL. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP WITH MINOR DAMAGE TO FUSELAGE, AND A PROP STRIKE. ONE PASSENGER WAS ON BOARD, AND BOTH ESCAPED WITH NO INJURIES. THERE WAS NO FIRE PRESENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
