## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APPROACH TO CHARLES B. WHEELER DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (MKC) THE PILOT OF N501LH, A CESSNA CE-500, WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE POWER SETTING OF THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 19 WITH APPROXIMATELY CRUISE POWER ON THE RIGHT ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP IN THE RUNWAY OVERRUN AREA. POST INCIDENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE RIGHT ENGINE THROTTLE CABLE WAS NOT CONNECTED TO THE FUEL CONTROL UNIT, DUE TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION. INCIDENT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
