## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) 01/18/2006, CTA 501 AIRCRAFT DEPARTED RENO-TAHOE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR A FLIGHT TO EKO. PILOT REPORTED THAT HE SHUT THE LEFT ENGINE DOWN DUE TO A FUEL PUMP FAILURE. PILOT RETURNED TO RENO AND LANDED AT 181100 PST AND TAXIED TO JET WEST. AN A&P MECHANIC CHECKED THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM AND FOUND THE LEFT FUEL FILLER PARTIALLY PLUGGED. AFTER DRAINING AND CLEANING THE FUEL FILTERS, THE AIRCRAFT ENGINES RAN NORMALLY WITH THE CORRECT FUEL PRESSURE READINGS. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR EKO.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
