## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT DEPARTED JOHNSTON COUNTY AIRPORT (JNX) FOR LOCAL FLIGHT. NEW/UPGRADED AVIONICS HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN INSTALLED AND PILOT WAS WORKING WITH AND FAMILIARIZING HIMSELF WITH THE NEW EQUIPMENT. AFTER APPROXIMATELY A 25 MINUTE FLIGHT THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO JNX FOR LANDING. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN WITHOUT THE LANDING GEAR FULLY EXTENDED. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY AND SLID TO A STOP WITH THE LANDING GEAR UP. THE PILOT (AND ONLY PERSON ON BOARD) SAFELY EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
