## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AT APPROXIMATELY 1130 HOURS ON 01-30-2006, WHILE LANDING AT DEER CREEK AIRPORT, A PRIVATE STRIP ON THE SALMON RIVER, THE LEFT HAND LANDING GEAR LEG BROKE FROM THE AIRCRAFT DURING ROLL OUT. AS A RESULT OF THE LEFT GEAR LEG FAILURE, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE LEFT WING CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING TIP, LEFT HAND AILERON, AND REAR SPAR DAMAGE TO THE LEFT HAND WING. ALSO, THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING VISIBLE TIP DAMAGE. THERE WERE TWO PASSENGERS AND THE PILOT ABOARD THE AIRCRAFT, THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO PILOT OR PASSENGERS AND NO PRE OR POST CRASH FIRE. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT SHOWED THAT THE 7/16 DIAMETER AN BOLT THAT MECHANICALLY HOLDS THE LANDING GEAR TO THE AIRCRAFT FAILED IN SHEAR LOADING. AS A RESULT, AS THE GEAR PIVOTED ON THE LANDING GEAR BOX, IT CAUSED SIGNIFICANT SHEET DAMAGE WHERE THE LANDING GEAR LEG ENTERS THE FUSELAGE AND FAILURE OF THE LOWER LANDING GEAR BOX WEB.
