## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THE FOLLOWING: "I TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE MAKING TWO LEFT TURNS. AS I APPROACHED THE EXIT, AND BEGAN TO APPLY RIGHT RUDDER PRESSURE TO MAINTAIN THE CENTERLINE, THE AIRCRAFT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED TO TRACK STRAIGHT. I APPLIED RIGHT BRAKE PRESSURE TO BRING THE NOSE TO THE RIGHT AND THE PLANE AGAIN FAILED TO RESPOND TO THE CORRECTIVE ACTION. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOW APPROACHING THE PAVEMENT EDGE. FULL BRAKE PRESSURE WAS APPLIED, BUT THE BRAKES WENT SOFT AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE PAVEMENT CAUSING THE DAMAGE."

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
