## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, WHILE DEMONSTRATING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS TO A STUDENT PILOT, HAD JUST CONDUCTED A TAKEOFF MANEUVER WHEN THE ELEVATOR CONTROL JAMMED. THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR RE-ENTERED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND CONDUCTED A FULL STOP LANDING UTILIZING THE ELEVATOR TRIM TAB AS THE PRIMARY PITCH CONTROL. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED BY THE OCCUPANTS AND NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT RESULTED AS A RESULT OF THIS INCIDENT. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE REAR ELEVATOR CABLE CLEVIS ATTACH BOLT HAD BEEN TIGHTENED IMPROPERLY RESULTING IN THE CLEVIS JAMMING AGAINST THE REAR BULKHEAD. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
