## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER COMPLETING THE INSTRUMENT APPROACH TO STINSON AIRPORT, THE PILOT IN COMMAND OF N510LM FAILED TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE AIR SPEED, AND STALLED N510LM. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE GROUND AND BECAME AIRBORNE AGAIN, BEFORE HITTING A GROVE OF TREES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO EITHER THE PILOT OR THE PASSENGER. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DFW06LA073](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DFW06LA073), Feb 20, 2006: Beech V35 (N510LM), San Antonio, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's loss of control while on approach to the runway. Contributing factors were the downdraft and the lack of suitable terrain for the off-airport landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
