## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) CALA FLT. 1002, A B-737-824 N73275 WAS HOLDING WITH BRAKES SET ON TAXIWAY "S" FACING NORTH AS DIRECTED BY EWR GROUND CONTROL. CALA FLT. 589, A B-737-724 N38727 WAS TAXIING BEHIND FLT 1002 FROM WEST TO EAST, ON TAXIWAY "K", AS DIRECTED BY EWR GROUND CONTROL. THE CLOSE PROXIMITY CAUSED FLT. 589 LEFT WINGLET TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THE RIGHT ELEVATOR OF FLT 1002 CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH AIRCRAFT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND NO ASSISTANCE WAS REQUIRED. BOTH AIRCRAFT TAXIED BACK TO THE RAMP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
