## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER LANDING RUNWAY 02, WHILE ON THE WAY TO THE TAXIWAY, THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO RAISE THE FLAPS FOR MORE POSITIVE CONTROL IN GUSTY WINDS (APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH). THE PILOT INADVERTENTLY RAISED THE GEAR HANDLE INSTEAD. THE NOSE GEAR COMPLETELY COLLAPSED. THE MAIN GEAR WERE 2/3-3/4 EXTENDED, ALSO COLLAPSED. THE PILOT THEN SHUT DOWN THE ENGINES AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST TO THE RIGHT OF RUNWAY 02 CENTERLINE (THE RUNWAY IS 100' WIDE) AND APPROXIMATELY MIDWAY ON RUNWAY LENGTH (5502'), WITH THE LANDING GEAR PARTIALLY RETRACTED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI06LA089](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI06LA089), Feb 25, 2006: Beech 95-55 (N562T), Sikeston, MO, substantial damage. Probable cause: The inadvertent landing gear retraction by the pilot during an after landing taxi.

## Other reports on N562T (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19860928047769A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19860928047769A), Sep 28, 1986: Beech 9555 (N562T), Shelbyville, IN, Substantial damage. The aircraft landed hard. Instrument and cockpit lighting were inoperative and alternate lighting distracted pilot.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
