(-23) WHILE ON A LOCAL FAR 141 TRAINING FLIGHT AT RIVERSIDE AIRPORT (RVS), THE STUDENT AND CFI HEARD AN UNUSUAL THUD SOUND AND THE CFI STATED THAT THE GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT WAS NO LONGER ILLUMINATED. AFTER ATTEMPTS TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR, THE CFI STATED THAT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR EXTENDED HALF WAY DOWN. ATTEMPTS TO RECYCLE THE GEAR AND MANUALLY EXTEND THE GEAR, THIS ACTION WOULD NOT EXTEND/RETRACT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR. THE CFI STATED THAT AFTER APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES OF ATTEMPTING TO EXTEND THE GEAR, HE DECIDED TO MAKE A GEAR UP LANDING. AFTER RETRACTING THE GEAR, THE NOSE AND LEFT MAIN GEAR RETRACTED, BUT THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR WAS STOPPED ABOUT ONE FOOT OUTSIDE OF THE WHEEL WELL. THE CFI STATED THAT HE INSTRUCTED ATC THAT HE WOULD BE MAKING A GEAR UP LANDING, ENTERED LEFT TRAFFIC FOR RUNWAY 31. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON THE CENTERLINE AND SKIDDED APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET TO A STOP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
