## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON MARCH 24, 2006 AT 11:15AM CST, N6176X (CE-310R) WAS INVOLVED IN A PROP-STRIKE INCIDENT AT SKYLARK AIRPORT (KILE), KILLEEN, TX (RUNWAY 01). DURING THE TRAINING FLIGHT (FAR 141 SCHOOL) WHILE PRACTICING "TOUCH AND GO'S", THE STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR FAILED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR. DURING THE LANDING FLARE, THE PILOTS REALIZED THE GEAR WAS NOT DOWN AND INITIATED A GO-AROUND; HOWEVER, BOTH PROPS MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY AND FILED OFF ABOUT 1/2" OF THE PROPELLER BLADES. THE AIRCRAFT SUCCESSFULLY MADE A GO-AROUND AND LANDED SAFELY AT THE AIRPORT. NO OTHER PART OF THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY OR SUFFERED ANY OTHER VISIBLE DAMAGE. DUE TO THE PROP STRIKE, BOTH ENGINES WERE REMOVED AND COMPLETELY OVERHAULED AND BOTH PROPS HAD TO BE REPLACED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
