## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT WAS BEING FERRIED FROM PAINT SHOP AT REDBIRD AIRPORT (KRBD) TO THE SHREVEPORT DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (KDTN) FOR AN ANNUAL INSPECTION. ON ARRIVAL, PILOT HAD INDICATION THAT LANDING GEAR WAS NOT FULLY EXTENDED. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM, PILOT ELECTED TO LAND AT THE SHREVEPORT REGIONAL AIRPORT (KSHV) WITH GEAR PARTIALLY EXTENDED. MECHANICS ON SCENE MADE PRELIMINARY OBSERVATION OF SOME MOVING PARTS OF THE LANDING GEAR MECHANISM WERE COATED WITH PAINT WHICH MAY HAVE PREVENTED NORMAL OPERATION. PILOT ALSO REPORTED THAT HE EXPERIENCED SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE AIRCRAFT PITCH TRIM DURING FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
