## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) N732RA WAS OBSERVED, BY RESIDENTS, FLYING OVERHEAD STRAIGHT AND LEVEL WITH THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE CONTINUALLY CUTTING OUT AND THEN STARTING BACK UP. AFTER THE AIRCRAFT FLEW OVERHEAD, IT BEGAN TO MAKE A RIGHT TURN, DESCRIBED AS A SPIRAL, CIRCLING TWICE AND LOSING ALTITUDE. AS THE AIRCRAFT COMPLETED 1/2 OF THE THIRD COMPLETE TURN IT DESCENDED BELOW THE LINE OF SIGHT AND IMPACTED THE GROUND. WITNESSES NOTED THAT THE SOUND OF THE ENGINE RUNNING WAS HEARD WHEN THE SOUND OF THE IMPACT WAS NOTED. BLACK SMOKE WAS OBSERVED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SOUND OF IMPACT. POST-ACCIDENT FIRE COMPLETELY CONSUMED THE AIRCRAFT AND SURROUNDING VEGETATION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
