## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATES THIS WAS THE FIRST FLIGHT AFTER INSTALLING A NEW GLASS COCKPIT AND ADDING A SECOND ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEM. AFTER 1.5 HOURS OF FLIGHT THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR BOTH ELECTRONIC IGNITION SYSTEMS POPPED AND COULD NOT BE RESET. THE PILOT COMPLETED AN EMERGENCY LANDING INTO A WIONTE WHEAT FIELD COLLAPSING THE GEAR SYSTEM DAMAGING THE FUSELAGE AND WHOLEING THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING AT THE TIP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA06CA080](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA06CA080), Apr 21, 2006: Pitrolo GL-25 (N27EP), Worden, MT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The loss of engine power due to failure of both electronic ignition systems. A contributing factor was the lack of suitable terrain for the forced landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
