## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON APRIL 22, 2006, AT ABOUT 1807 CDT, A GRUMMAN GA-AA-1, N6214L, RAN OFF THE END OF A GRASS RUNWAY (RWY 06) DOWN A 30 DEGREE SLOPE WHERE THE NOSE LANDING GEAR FAILED AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST. THE PRIVATE PILOT AND SINGLE PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED AND THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED AS A PRIVATE/PLEASURE FLIGHT BY THE PILOT/OWNER UNDER 14 CFR PART 91 WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE LAKEVIEW/GASTONS (3MO) AIRPORT, LAKEVIEW, ARKANSAS, AT 1807 CDT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND A FLIGHT PLAN WAS NOT FILED. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE UNEVEN RUNWAY PREMATURELY LAUNCHED THE AIRPLANE. NEW PARAGRAPH: THE TAKEOFF WAS ABORTED WITH TOO LITTLE REMAINING RUNWAY AND THE AIRPLANE COULD NOT STOP ON THE GRASS SURFACE UNTIL IT RAN OFF THE END WHICH IS A STEEP DROP TO LEVEL GROUND ABOUT 20 FEET BELOW THE RUNWAY SURFACE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
