## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRCRAFT TOUCH DOWN HARD ON THE LAST 750 FEET OF THE RUNWAY. PROPELLER MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY BEFORE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED OFF THE SOUTH END. AIRCRAFT THEN WENT THROUGH TWO FENCES, TWO BARROW PITS AND A DITCH BEFORE FLIPPING OVER ON ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA06CA081](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA06CA081), Apr 23, 2006: Cessna 172 S (N679SP), Malad City, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The private pilot's improper touchdown point during landing and the certified flight instructors delayed remedial action. Ditches and fences were factors in the accident.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
