## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE CONDUCTING LOW APPROACHES AND TOUCH AND GO LANDINGS ON RUNWAY 17 AT THE EAST COOPER AIRPORT (KLRO), MT. PLEASANT, S.C., THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER DURING THE CLIMB OUT PHASE OF FLIGHT, ENTERED A HIGH BANK ANGLE, PITCHED DOWN, AND SUBSEQUENTLY IMPACTED THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST NEAR THE END AND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF RUNWAY 17 IN A DRY MARSH AREA FACING THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE WAS EMBEDDED IN THE GROUND WHICH WAS CONSISTENT WITH DAMAGE CAUSED BY A STALL/SPIN GROUND IMPACT. EXAMINATION OF THE AIRCRAFT WRECKAGE DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS NO FUEL PRESENT IN THE FUEL DISTRIBUTION MANIFOLD, AND ONLY RESIDUAL FUEL IN THE AIRCRAFT FUEL TANKS. THERE WAS NO APPARENT ODOR OF AVIATION FUEL AT THE SCENE.
