## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ TOOK OFF IN HIS CESSNA T-210 AT APPROXIMATELY 1205L ON APRIL 30, 2006, FROM COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT, COLORADO, FOR A LOCAL AREA PLEASURE FLIGHT WITH A FRIEND. HE FLEW IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE AIRPORT AND ACCOMPLISHED TWO TOUCH AND GOES ON RUNWAY 17R. AFTER BEING VECTORED BY ATC COS THERE WAS SOME CONFUSION BETWEEN ATC AND THE PILOT. THE PILOT'S INTENT WAS TO ACCOMPLISH ANOTHER TOUCH AND GO, BUT ATC WAS POSTURING HIM IN FOR A FINAL APPROACH. ON THE TAXIWAY 17R, ATC WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH A NORTHWEST AIRLINES AIRBUS THAT WAS HAVING PROBLEMS MOVING TO THE ACTIVE RUNWAY. THE PILOT WAS LISTENING TO THE COMMUNICATIONS OCCURRING BETWEEN ATC AND NORTHWEST AND TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON HIS RECENTLY CHANGED PLANS TO MAKE FINAL THAT HE FORGOT TO ACTIVATE HIS LANDING GEAR TO THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION. HE LANDED GEAR UP ON RUNWAY 17R INCURRING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE UNDERBELLY AND ANTENNAS ALONG WITH A BENT PROPELLER. NO ONE WAS INJURED AND THERE WAS NO FIRE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
