## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) EXPRESS NET AIRLINES OPERATED AN AIRBUS A-300-B4203 AIRCRAFT (N372PC) FROM DAYTON, OHIO USA (KDAY) TO TORONTO, CANADA (CYYZ). WHILE ON APPROACH INTO CYYZ, THE FLIGHT CREW NOTICED A SIGNIFICANT YAW TO THE RIGHT. APPROXIMATELY 3 DEGREES OF RUDDER WAS REQUIRED TO CONTROL THE AIRPLANE. NO SHUTTER OR SHAKE WAS NOTICED. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. UPON LANDING, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE LEFT WING FLAP CONTROL TAB HAD LIBERATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND LANDED IN A NEARBY PARKING LOT CAUSING DAMAGE TO AN AUTOMOBILE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES OR FATALITIES ON THE AIRCRAFT OR GROUND.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DCA06WA036](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DCA06WA036), May 2, 2006: Airbus A-300-B4 (N372PC), Toronto, Canada, incident, minor damage

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
