## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HIS FLIGHT FROM BRANDON STATE AIRPORT (S05) WAS NORMAL, BUT WHEN HE EXTENDED HIS LANDING GEAR IN PREPARATION FOR LANDING AT BOK HE MOVED THE LANDING GEAR SELECTOR HANDLE FROM THE "UP" POSITION TO THE "CENTER" POSITION RATHER THAN THE "DOWN" POSITION AND THEREFORE THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT EXTEND. THE PILOT STATED HE USED THE PRE-LANDING CHECKLIST, BUT THAT HE DID NOT VERIFY THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS SAFELY EXTENDED BY CHECKING FOR THE "GREEN LIGHTS" AS THE CHECKLIST CALLS FOR. NO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS CONTRIBUTED TO THIS MISHAP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
