## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE AIRCRAFT WAS PRE-FLIGHTED IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO A PLANNED FLIGHT TO GALVESTON, TX (GLS) FROM VICTORIA (VCT) AND NO SIGNIFICANT ABNORMALITIES WERE OBSERVED. THE WEATHER WAS CLEAR AND THE TERRAIN DRY. THE PLANE TAXIED FROM THE HANGAR TO RW 6. DURING THE TAXI ONLY THE LEFT BRAKE WAS USED FOR MANEUVERING THE PLANE. AS THE PLANE TAXIED INTO POSITION ON RW 6 THE RIGHT BRAKE WAS USED FOR THE FIRST TIME TO TURN THE AIRCRAFT. ALMOST SIMULTANEOUS WITH THE BRAKE APPLICATION THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WERE DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED TO THE HANGAR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
