## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) OPERATOR APPEARED TO LAND AN UNSAFE DISTANCE DOWN RUNWAY WITH EXCESSIVE TOUCHDOWN SPEED CAUSING AIRCRAFT TO BOUNCE AND CONTINUE TO FLY. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT DID FINALLY LAND, THE SPEED WAS EXCESSIVE AND BRAKING WAS INEFFECTIVE (DEW ON GRASS RUNWAY). AIRCRAFT SLID OFF END OF RUNWAY AND COLLIDED WITH TREES AND A CHAIN LINK FENCE. AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA06LA100](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA06LA100), May 19, 2006: Cessna T210L (N131HM), Battle Ground, WA, destroyed. Probable cause: the pilot's excessive airspeed and exceeding the proper touchdown point during landing, which resulted in a hard landing and subsequent overrun of the runway. Factors contributing to the accident…

## Other reports on N131HM (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19930108000969I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930108000969I), Jan 8, 1993: Cessna T210L (N131HM), Seattle, WA. Engine rough after takeoff. Changed fuel tanks. Returned. Found faulty fuel gauges.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
