## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) DURING THE INTERVIEW THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ STATED THAT AFTER TAKEOFF AT ABOUT 700-800AGL THE ENGINE RPM STARTED TO FALL OFF, HE THEN ADVANCED THE THROTTLE AND TURNED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE OXNARD AIRPORT. THE THROTTLE MOVEMENT HAD NO EFFECT ON THE ENGINE RPM (THAT IS ALL THAT THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ REMEMBERS). AFTER THE ENGINE STOPPED THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA ^ WAS ENROUTE BACK TO THE OXNARD AIRPORT, WHEN HE LANDED IN A SOD FIELD, CONTINUED TO TRAVEL AN ADDITIONAL 350 FEET, ALL WITHOUT BRAKING, THROUGH A FENCE AND ONTO A ROAD WHERE HE IMPACTED A PASSING VEHICLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
