## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DAT^ ACTED AS PIC IN N1177A. ATTEMPTED TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR AT (X26). THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE NOSE GEAR INDICATOR, INDICATED UNSAFE. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AFM THE PILOT ELECTED TO PROCEED TO VRB, WHERE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT WAS AVAILABLE. PILOT DECLARED AN AMERGENCY AND COORDINATED A GEAR UP LANDING ON RUNWAY 22 AT VRB. NO INJURIES, AND VERY MINOR DAMAGE WERE THE RESULT OF THIS PILOT'S CALM DISMEANOR AND PRESENCE OF AWARENESS TO UTILIZE ALL THE FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO HIM. THIS INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT INADEQUATE MAINTENANCE AND REQUIRED INSPECTIONS, OVERLOOKED WORN COMPONENTS. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
