## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER SEVERAL PRACTICE TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS, PILOT WAS PREPARING FOR ANOTHER LANDING. AT APPROXIMATELY 10-15 FT ABOVE THE RUNWAY, PILOT REALIZED HE WAS SLOWER THAN ANTICIPATED AND BEGAN TO FALL THROUGH (SETTLE) ON SHORT FINAL. PILOT ADDED POWER TO ARREST THE DESCENT AND CORRECT FOR THE SLOW SPEED OF THE AIRPLANE. AIRPLANE VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND CONTINUED TO SETTLE TOUCHING DOWN ON A 30 DEGREE ANGLE TO THE RUNWAY. AIRPLANE LEFT THE RUNWAY WITH THE LANDING GEAR PARTIALLY COLLAPSING AND THE PROPELLER BLADE(S) STRIKING THE GROUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
