## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 27 (GRASS), PILOT REPORTED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WOULD NOT SETTLE. AT APPROXIMATELY 62 KNOTS IAS SHE DECIDED TO ADD FULL POWER, BUT THE AIRCRAFT APPARENTLY STALLED AT THE SAME TIME. THE AIRCRAFT THEN CONTACTED THE GROUND. MARKS IN THE GRASS INDICATE THAT THE NOSE GEAR TOUCHED FIRST, FOLLOWED BY THE LEFT AND RIGHT MAIN GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT THEN BOUNCED AND, SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE PILOT REDUCED THE THROTTLE TO IDLE. THE AIRCRAFT CONTINUED FOR APPROXIMATELY 65 YARDS AND CONTACTED THE GROUND AGAIN, NOSE FIRST, WHERE A SPOT IN THE GRASS SHOWED EVIDENCE OF HYDRAULIC TYPE FLUID. THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AGAIN, AND TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY ANOTHER 42 YARDS WHERE MARKS WERE FOUND ON THE GROUND, CONSISTENT WITH A PROP STRIKE. THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELLED APPROXIMATELY 9 MORE YARDS WHEN THE NOSE GEAR BROKE, PRODUCING A GOUGE IN THE GROUND APPROXIMATELY 30 YARDS LONG, AT THE END OF WHICH THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST, IN A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
