## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THIS AIRCRAFT IMPACTED TERRAIN AFTER TAKEOFF FROM RUNWAY 17R APPROXIMATELY 90 SECONDS AFTER A DEHAVILLAND DASH 8 AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM THE SAME RUNWAY. WIND WAS APPROXIMATELY 6 KNOTS FROM THE EAST. THE AIRCRAFT WAS AIRBORNE ONLY MOMENTARILY AFTER TAKEOFF, ATTAINING AN ALTITUDE OF APPROXIMATELY 15 FEET ABOVE GROUND LEVEL. THE AIRCRAFT THEN ROLLED SUBSTANTIALLY TO THE LEFT, IMPACTED THE RUNWAY, "CARTWHEELED" IN A DIRECTION ANGLING LEFT OF THE ORIGINAL TAKEOFF HEADING, AND LEFT THE RUNWAY. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST RIGHT-SIDE UP IN THE VACANT AREA TO THE NORTH OF THE RUNWAY HEADING SOUTHEAST.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB DEN06LA090](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/DEN06LA090), Jun 22, 2006: Excel Jet Sport Jet (N350SJ), Colorado Sprngs, CO, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of control for an undetermined reason during takeoff-initial climb that resulted in an in-flight collision with terrain.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
