## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) LANDED LONG AND RAN OFF THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO A BOG/RIVER. DAMAGE TO PROPELLER AND COWL PANEL. DAMAGE MINOR. (-23 AMENDMENT) OWNER WAS PARTICIPATING IN A 5 DAY SEMINAR TO HONE BACK COUNTRY FLYING SKILLS. SEMINAR PROVIDED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OM^ (CANYON MOUNTAIN SEMINARS). OWNER AND ADVISOR DEPARTED SULFUR CREEK RANCH AND MADE SEVERAL STOPS BEFORE ATTEMPTING A LANDING AT FOOT RANCH. FROM THERE THEY WERE GOING TO END THE DAY AT MCCALL, ID. THE GRASS AT ROOT RANCH LANDING STRIP WAS TALL AND DURING LANDING ROLL THEY DID NOT NOTICE THE RUNWAY END MARKERS UNTIL THEY WERE THERE. SERIOUS APPLICATION OF BRAKES DID NOT STOP THEM IN TIME. THEY OVERRAN THE RUNWAY AND DROPPED INTO A RAVINE/BOG RESULTING IN MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
