## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ DID NOT HOLD ANY FAA CERTIFICATES. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ DID NOT RECEIVE ANY FORMAL FLIGHT TRAINING FOR POWER PARACHUTES. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ DID NOT RECEIVE A 2-PLACE EXEMPTION PUTTING THE AIRCRAFT INTO THE ULTRALIGHT CATEGORY. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DA^ OPERATED THE AIRCRAFT FOR THE FIRST TIME ON JULY 1, 2006 FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, SECOND FLIGHT WAS ON JULY 3, 2006. ONE OF THE ATTACHING PARACHUTE CHORDS WAS WRAPPED OVER THE TOP RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE PARACHUTE WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO TURN RIGHT WITHOUT INPUTS AND THE INABILITY TO TURN LEFT.

## NTSB investigation

None matched to this report by aircraft and date. Search the NTSB's own records: https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-main-public/basic-search

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
