## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT HAD CONTACTED BELLINGHAM TOWER STATING HE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE LANDING GEAR. AIRCRAFT FLEW PAST THE TOWER AND THE TOWER HAD CONFIRMED THAT THE LEFT LANDING GEAR WAS STUCK IN THE UP POSITION. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AND TRIED TO SHAKE THE LEFT LANDING GEAR LOOSE, BUT ALL ATTEMPTS FAILED TO GET THE LEFT GEAR IN THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION. THE PILOT ELECTED TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT GEAR UP IN THE GRASS BETWEEN THE TAXI WAYS. INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE FUSELAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
