## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PER THE PILOT'S WRITTEN STATEMENT: LANDED ON RWY 28L, MONTEREY, CA AIRPORT AFTER A PRACTICE GPS APPROACH UNDER VFR CONDITIONS. ALL WAS NORMAL UP TO AND AFTER THE ACTUAL LANDING. ON ROLL OUT AND AS THE PLANE SLOWED TO ABOUT 30-35 MPH, THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT SOFTLY GAVE WAY AND DROPPED. REALIZING THERE WAS A PROP STRIKE, THE PILOT GUIDED THE PLANE OFF THE RUNWAY SO AS NOT TO IMPEDE OTHER TRAFFIC. PILOT REPORTED THE STRIKE TO THE TOWER THEN KILLED THE POWER AND EXITED THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT WAS MET BY FIRETRUCKS AND POLICE AND GAVE THEM, AS WELL AS THE TOWER AND FAA (BY PHONE) THE EXPLANATION OF THIS EVENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
