## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER LANDING RUNWAY 34L AHEAD OF BUSINESS JET, THE PILOT HURRIED OFF RUNWAY 34L ONTO TAXIWAY A7. THE PILOT CONTINUED UP TAXIWAY A7 TO TAXIWAY A, AND CROSSED RUNWAY 11/29 WITH INTENTIONS TO CONTINUE ONTO TAXIWAY D1. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS IN A HURRY SO AS NOT TO GET IN THE WAY OF THE BUSINESS JET OR TO GET HIT BY HIS JET BLAST. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE FOLLOWED THE YELLOW & BLACK DIRECTIONS SIGN TO TAXIWAY D1 AND THAT THERE WERE NUMEROUS BLUE LIGHTS AT THE CONVERGENT AREA. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD THE DIRECTION SIGN ON HIS LEFT WHEN HE FELT THE AIRCRAFT ENTER THE GRASS AREA. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO CONTINUE ON THE GRASS TO ENTER TAXIWAY D. JUST PRIOR TO ENTERING TAXIWAY D, THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED A DRAINAGE DITCH AND SUFFERED A PROPELLER STRIKE WITH THE GROUND. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WORKS AT THE AIRPORT AND WAS FAMILIAR WITH THE GROUNDS, BUT THE WAY THAT THE GRASS IS CUT YOU WOULD NOT NOTICE THAT THERE IS A DRAINAGE DITCH PRESENT EVEN IN THE DAYLIGHT HOURS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
