## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AIRMAN WAS CONDUCTING TURNAROUND MANEUVER AFTER A SWATH RUN IN AERIAL APPLICATION OPERATIONS WHEN HE FAILED TO CLEAR RISING TERRAIN (WHEAT FIELD--AT MATURE GROWTH STAGE). AIRCRAFT TAILWIND ENCOUNTERED THE GROUND FIRST, THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCED AND ULTIMATELY SETTLED INTO THE WHEAT (AIRCRAFT COULD NOT OVERCOME THE GRADUALLY INCREASING DRAG IMPOSED BY THE TALL WHEAT CROP), AND SUBSEQUENTLY CAME TO REST INVERTED.
