## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE CAPTAIN STATED: "PUSHED TAIL NORTH FROM GATE C-12, CALLED FOR TAXI, GIVEN THE FOLLOWING ROUTE. "TAXI ZULU" TO "ECHO" DOWN 30R FOR A 30L DEPARTURE. NO NOTICE OF SWA (SOUTHWEST AIRLINES) WAS PASSED ALONG TO US. ON ECHO AFTER CLEARING LEFT THEN TO RIGHT. IN FO'S FORWARD WINDOW, I SAW SWA TAXIING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. TO AVOID ANY SITUATION, BRAKES WERE APPLIED. SWA NEVER STOPPED, PASSING MY NOSE THEY SLOWED TO A NORMAL TAXI SPEED." THE CAPTAIN WAS NOTIFIED THAT ONE FLIGHT ATTENDANT IN THE AFT GALLEY AREA WAS THROWN TO THE FLOOR AS A RESULT OF THE SUDDEN BRAKING, CAUSING MINOR INJURY. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED BACK TO THE GATE AND THE AFFECTED FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS RELIEVED OF HER DUTIES AND TRANSPORTED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. SHE WAS EXAMINED AND FOUND TO HAVE SUSTAINED MINOR BRUISING, SHE WAS LATER RELEASED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
