## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON 7-31-2006, AT ABOUT 1500 MDT, THE PILOT OF N9179C, A SCOTTISH AVIATION MDL 120 BULLDOG, WAS ATTEMPTING A LANDING AT MOBRIDGE, SD AIRPORT (MBG). THE AIRCRAFT MADE A HARD LANDING AND BOUNCED, THE PILOT THEN MADE A GO-AROUND. ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT, THE AIRCRAFT AGAIN BOUNCED AFTER LANDING NOSE FIRST. THE NOSE GEAR SEPARATED FROM THE AIRPLANE AND THE PROPELLER WAS DAMAGED. NEITHER THE PILOT NOR HIS PASSENGER WAS INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
